Once a week, Cocomo opens their doors to those new to salsa,
offering two hours of beginning and just-beyond-beginning
classes and then an open run of the dance floor. It's a fantastic
way to get a taste of what a genuine salsa club scene feels like
without feeling intimidated by a jam-packed room and triple
turns. Most of the people around you will be beginners, too, so
you don't have to worry about dancing with someone who will
mock your limited skills. And at just $7 per person for the
whole night, you just might be able to afford to treat the whole
family to an authentic San Francisco experience. Though don't
blame us when your parents shake it better than you".

2 Lessons, 2 Hours

7PM Beginning Class

This class is best suited for Beginners who want to learn or practice the basics.
We focus one hour on the basic step, finding the timing in the music, basic technique and also a simple pattern.

8 PM Intermediate / Advanced Classes

We focus on Intermediate techniques (ex. double turns, styling) and incorporate them into an intermediate and advanced pattern.

9pm - DJ Mendy
Spinning the besting in Salsa, Cha Cha and Bachata. DJ mendy has been playing at Cafe Cocomo for a few years and has a great mix of exciting latin music.
